For money, as you know, you can get almost everything. But there are things that are still useless to include in the shopping list - sincere love or, for example, skillful hands. If a tender feeling is present, and you doubt your own talents a little, this is not a reason to leave your loved one without a special gift. We will tell and show how to make valentines for February 14 with your own hands.
No intricate designs and obscure materials - only paper, stationery knife and glue! In one evening, you will create a little thing that he or she is likely to keep until old age.
Postcard "Concrete"
This option will be appreciated by those who do not like transparent hints.
Everything is done very simply. Of the tools you need only scissors, of materials - two sheets of thick paper (red and white) and glue.
So, without further ado, we proceed:
- Decide on the size of the postcard. You can simply fold the A4 sheet in half, or you can make the presentation more compact. It is believed that everything sweet and tender is associated with the size of the “mini”, and it looks more neat.
- Fold a sheet of red paper in half and outline the outline of the half of the heart near the fold. It should be approximately half the height of the postcard itself.
- Cut out a heart.
- Prepare a support on which the heart will rest. To do this, cut a strip of approximately 8 x 2 cm from thick white paper and fold it in half lengthwise. Cut one end of the strip at 45 degrees. Then cut each tip along the fold line by approximately 8–10 mm. Fold the free edges parallel to the cut line (on one edge the “tails” will be at right angles, on the other - at 45 degrees).
- Glue the heart to that side of the support, which is bent at 45 degrees - it should be folded so that the support is between the halves.
- Glue the other end of the support to the card directly on the fold. Thanks to this design, the card will fold and unfold along with the heart and support.
Almost ready! It remains only to sign the card to your liking. The front side can be decorated with an inscription or applique, or you can leave it crystal white - after all, the most important thing is always inside.
Valentine "Pixel"
The paper should be thick enough, the clerical knife - sharp, the intent - decisive!
A postcard is made of two sheets of paper in different colors. Traditionally choose red and white.
In addition to the basic materials, you will need a pencil, a notebook sheet in a box and something that can temporarily hold two sheets together (for example, masking tape or paper clips).
Getting started:
- On the checkered leaf, draw a blank as follows:
- Decide on the size of the future postcard by folding two sheets of paper of the same size.
- Temporarily attach a blank to one of the sheets (make sure that the dashed line coincides with the fold line of the sheet). It is important that the checkered sheet does not move even a millimeter.
- Now, armed with a clerical knife, cut both sheets strictly along the lines outlined on the checkered blank. It is better to use a ruler so that the cuts are perfectly even.
- After removing the top sheet, carefully fold the card, if necessary, adjusting the details of the heart with your fingers.
- Paste the leaflet with the heart into the “cover” that matches the size. But this is not necessary - if the paper is thick enough, you can leave the valentine single-layer.
- Sign the card as you see fit. Continuing the pixel theme, you can cut 5 x 5 mm squares and add the inscription LOVE, "LOVE" or something like that.
As you can see, it’s not at all difficult. We chose these two options for postcards for three reasons:
- they are original;
- they can easily be done in one evening;
- both cards are voluminous, but at the same time they are convenient to store - in the folded version, nothing will be wrinkled or peeled off.
If you are ready for something more complicated, you can try to make a valentine using the origami technique. We have selected videos that show in detail how to fold a heart with charming wings, with a secret message, with devilish horns. You can even make a deliberately gloomy Valentine - such a surprise will be appreciated by lovers of Tim Burton films and classic horror films.
